Another COVID Update
by posted 01/14/2022

Hello Again Families-

I just wanted to let you all know that unfortunately, we do have another positive case within your team. I know that you are all already out of activity, but I really want to stress that you should be very cautious with what you choose to do, over these next couple of days. If you have any symptoms at all (sore throat, cold/nasal congestion, cough, fever, body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, more tired than usual or upset stomach) please report them and get tested immediately. You can come down with one or all of these symptoms, so please be vigilant.
I am glad that we made the call we did earlier. I hope those of you that are feeling unwell get feeling better soon and the rest of you stay healthy! I will continue to notify you as need be.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

COVID - Team Activities PAUSED
by posted 01/14/2022

Unfortunately we will not be able to participate in this weekends tournament in Rochester.  I'm including communication from our BAC Covid Coordinator.  Reminder - for those who have hotel reservations please reach out and cancel your reservations as soon as possible.  Hopefully they will refund your deposits because this is COVID related.

We know that this is very disappointing, and was a difficult decision.

Let us know if you have any questions.

After reviewing the number of positive cases that have been reported this week for your team, we have made the difficult decision to have this team take a pause in play for the next 5 days.Let's plan on a return date of the 18th for anyone that is not experiencing any symptoms, or is not out for a positive Covid test. If you have been given a date later than the 18th, due to a positive test, you MUST still abide by that date.

Hopefully this will give everyone a chance to make sure that there are no other players that come down with any symptoms or a positive covid test, but should you do, please report it to your coach or myself the BAC Covid Coordinator.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.

Rochester Tournament
by posted 01/13/2022

 Parents and Players:

What a week or should I say what a very long 2 years! Well we made it to the end of the week and the Rochester tournament! Obviously, the players who tested positive will not be able to play this weekend. I never had symptoms and tested negative. Rochester will require masks to be worn at all times, except by players on the court. I suggest masks be worn throughout the weekend given how contagious this Omicron variant is for both vaccinated and unvaccinated. The entrance fee is $10 for the weekend. I will need to have a parent sign the JVA Participant Release and Liability form Friday night or Saturday morning before we go to the tournament.

We are in the Silver Pool C Court 14 Rochester Regional Sports Center starting at 8am. We sit first, which means we will be scouting the other two teams. Then we play two games in a row, then sit again, play our third match, and then ref. The second pool starts after the first pool, which probably finishes on Sunday morning, before single elimination in bracket play.

I believe the girls will need to wear the temporary jerseys this weekend, so I will bring the gray jerseys, so the girls can choose which ones to wear on Saturday and Sunday.
