We have two different options for playing volleyball at Thunder. We have an in-house/community program and we have a traveling/club program. Read more about each program below to help you decide which program is the best for you at this time!
In-House volleyball is a perfect fit for anyone who wants to learn the FUNdamentals of volleyball. This program is a low-key way to learn about volleyball in an atmosphere of friendly competition and good sportsmanship while improving or learning volleyball skills with people near your age.
You will participate in a variety of practices and games over the course of the season which goes from mid-September through the beginning of November.
This opportunity is for both boys & girls to develop volleyball skills and play in all different positions on the court. This will help prepare players for traveling/club playing level and for playing in high school.
Traveling volleyball is a perfect fit for players who want to continue to improve & advance their volleyball skills at a higher competition level.
You will participate in twice per week practices starting in October or November and playing in tournaments on the weekends starting in January.
This opportunity is for girls who are in 4th-11th grade, although our teams are for U12-U17. Team placement is determined by a tryout and typically players are placed with other athletes in their age level. Players will play in specific positions and in competitive tournaments at this level. This is to help advance player's skills for high-level volleyball competitions including high school or collegiate volleyball.
