Practices & games in September are on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 evenings and Saturday mornings from 8:00 - 10:00am or 10:00 - 12:00pm
The season always ends with a tournament where everyone comes out a winner!
COACHING
As this program is driven by volunteerism, the coaching is mainly parent driven.
We provide clinic opportunities prior to the start of the season which really helps coaches bring a better skill set to the court.
In many cases, our Jr. Olympic Coaches (some of whom are Nationally Certified), step in and coach a team or lead an age group.
PLAYER GROWTH
Volleyball is a complex sport that offers lifelong learning opportunities both as a player and a coach.
The girls in our program have differing reasons for deciding to play in-house ball.
While our program is designed to meet the needs of all the participants, we strive to teach the skill sets in a consistent manner.
We do this so that if a player desires to tryout for her Jr. High or High School team, she has an understanding of the basic mechanics involved in playing.
BURNSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL INVOLVEMENT
2nd year Varsity Head Coach Ryan Dehnel is an integral part of all of our Burnsville VB programs and is in helping the in-house and club program grow and become better than ever.
Our common goal is to bring consistency to all the Burnsville Volleyball programs which will ultimately make Burnsville a stronger competitor in the Lake Conference.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
A program of our size cannot run itself...we are always looking for people to step up and contribute.
Coaches, administrative, coordinators...you name it. If you are interested, please contact us.
COMPETITIVE PLAY OPPORTUNITIES
For 2008, we are offering competitive playing opportunities for two age groups:
5th & 6th grade girls (South Metro League)
7th & 8th grade girls (Jr. High League)
Tryouts for these teams are held in mid to late August.
